Today marks my last day at the office until the new year and I am so looking forward to having a few days to relax with friends and family and prepare for the start of 2016. 

 

But, before we get a chance to sit down and relax, there lots to celebrate! It's going to be a crazy weekend with parties and get togethers, but I I'm surviving the holiday festivities with a few must haves:

 

1).  A wear-everywhere party dress.  No holiday season is right without a dress you can wear to a variety places.  Whether it's your holiday office party, after-work cocktails with clients, brunch with your in-laws or soire with close friends, an all-purpose dress is a sure must-have.  This dress is from Gap and has been in my closet for the last few seasons.  I love the 3/4 length sleeves to keep me covered during this cooler season, the full skirt which makes me feel extra girly (and party ready!) and it's slightly shorter length.  It also has pockets which allows me to store my phone or lipstick conveniently. 

 

2).  Run Resistant Tights.  How many times have you been at the office, or have attended a party, went to cross your legs and noticed a terrible snag in your tights? Awful, right?  There are fewer things that will completely ruin my afternoon or evening.  I've been wearing Hanes hosiery since high school and have been so happy to find their run, resistant tights. You notice the difference in the make and material as soon as you put them in your hands. There are so many great styles, but during the holiday season, I love the more sheer black tights which help keep me protected from cool temperatures while allowing me to comfortably dance the night away.  I also really love the crystal embellished tights if you're looking for a great way to add sparkle to a chic look this New Years. 

 

3).  A stylish cross-body bag.  While I normally love a good clutch, honestly, after a cocktail or two I am bound to lose track of it.  For most of my festivities, I love to carry a cross body bag. I wear this Angela & Roi bag just about everywhere.  It's super affordable and the gold strap give its just enough bling to help me feel dressy and chic. 

 

4).  My Mira fitness tracker.  After a few glasses of wine and even more finger foods my Mira allows me to track how many steps and calories my dancing has helped me burn :)  Let's be honest, I'd much rather dance the night away than spend an hour cycling! 

 

5).  A bold lip.  I am a huge fan of a great bold lip color.  I typically gravitate towards red and not one of my purses doesn't include a stick.  If you're looking to try out a more bold or new color, the holidays is the perfect time to get your feet wet.  Break out of your comfort zone and wow them at this years party!
