I recently had the distinct pleasure of working with the Simply Wood Rings team to create my own personalized piece from their Birthwood collection.  The Birthwood collection is especially unique and special, in my opinion.  Each Birthwood piece is carefully crafted from a tree, combined with an inlay of birthstones, from the month in which you were born – highlighting the symbolic meaning and strengths of each tree. 

 

Having been born in the month of March, my ring is made from a light, gorgeous Ash Wood with an Aquamarine inlay.  The ash tree symbolizes peach of mind, sensitivity and awareness.  Ancient mythology refers to ash as “the mighty tree that supports the heavens." I have been wearing my ring every day and have gotten so many questions and compliments.  

 

The light wood color is not only filled with deep meaning, but is a piece I feel comfortable wearing every day.  Be on the look out for it in almost every post this week :)

For Mother’s Day, I am gifting my mom a ring from her birth month, September.  It is made with Willow Wood, a similar rich color as mine, but with the most lovely Sapphire inlay.  The willow tree symbolizes intuition and vision.  She has always been my guiding light and strongest supporter and am looking forward to gifting her a piece that speaks to my love and gratitude for all that she has done for me over the years.
