An Extra Sweet Valentine's Day for Two

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, y'all! Can you believe it? Time is flying, right?

If you follow the blog, you know I am a huge fan of local florist, Kalla. Kalla specializes in curating one of a kind, stunning arrangements full of color and character. 

If you're not familiar with Kalla, let me give you the low down on why I adore them so much. For starters, the arrangements are curated like none other I have seen before. It's a work of art in itself, honestly. Also full of vibrant colors and patterns, the bouquet rested comfortably in a drawer like compartment inside of the box organized wonderfully with a typed note and even a personalized sticker closure. Impeccable. In fact, the box which arrived with this arrangement is still sitting in my living room. It's almost too pretty for the trash :)

This Valentine's Day, Kalla is a gift both Shawn and I are equally enjoying at home together.  Two years ago, he and I decided traditional gifts were not as much our thing as much as we love spending time together giving the gift of memories and experiences.  Cheesy, I know!

To help with this, I bought us a cute box of suggested date night ideas from a local boutique.  The idea is to pull a card from the box on date night and commit to the cards suggestion.  They make any date night immediately more spontaneous and fun - you never know what you're going to get!  They range from "Eat at a German restaurant," to "Build a fort in your dining room with sheets and pillows and enjoy wine and a movie on your iPad." This is the date night suggestion I'm hoping we pull this Saturday :)  We'll curl up in our fort, Kalla wine and chocolates in hand, while we snuggling :)
