The Wool Car Coat

During the Summer months I have a tendency to add a lot of color to my wardrobe.  However, when Fall and Winter roll in, I find myself gravitating towards more black, whites and greys surprisingly.  To keep my mood alive, and my closet filled with happy hues :) I work color into my style with accessories like a great coat, hat or clutch purse. 

 

 I have been a long time fan of J.Jill and the quality of their collections - I mean, have you seen these AMAZING over-the-knee boots - I wear them everywhere! 

While shopping their recent winter collection, I fell in love with the softness and rich color of this car coat.  It's very versatile in it can be styled with a gorgeous dress or skirt or equally chic with a pair of killer jeans a boots. 
  

As many of you know, Shawn and I are also big advocates of providing care and goods to the local homeless here in Chicago.  It's a cause near and dear to our hearts. So, when I learned J.Jill was equally as passionate about giving back to the community, and homeless throughout the US, I was more than thrilled. 

In 2002, J.Jill created the Compassion Fund with the mission of helping disadvantaged and homeless women become self-sufficient.  50% of the proceeds from all sales of this gorgeous scarf above are donated back to helping women regain their independence through programs that focus on education, job skills, and transitional and affordable housing.
