H&M Re-Opening Celebration || Gurnee Mills

Happy Monday, y'all! I hope the beginning of the week is treating you all well!

For all of my Chicago friends, and beyond, I have some really exciting news. One of my favorite destinations for quality, affordable trends, H&M, is re-opening it's Gurnee Mills store (in the northern Chicago suburbs, if you're not familiar) this Thursday, October 8th at 10:00AM. Complete with their beautiful renovations, this H&M store will feature a brand new look including upgraded finishes, all new fixtures, and graphics throughout the store.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through H&M's partnership with the American Cancer Society, the Gurnee Mills store opening will include presence from an ACS local rep who will be able to speak with press about the partnership, answer any questions, and speak to customers in line prior to the opening.

The newly renovated H&M at Gurnee Mills will offer collections for ladies, men, young ladies, and young men with separate “store within a store” sections for accessories, lingerie, cosmetics and maternity. The Gurnee Mills location will also carry H&M’s children’s collection, from newborn to fourteen years. And seriously, y'all, I stopped in the store yesterday and the stuff for kids is seriously the cutest!  It made me wish I was 8 again :)

Along with the store opening details, there are two other really great things I wanted to mention:

1). H&M is hiring!  With the opening of the Gurnee Mills store, H&M is proud to add employees to the current, ever-expanding total of approximately 16,000 US employees. 2). H&M is launching a garment recycling program! I really love the this concept so I had to share!  H&M is the first fashion company to roll out a global garment recycling program. Through this initiative, H&M customers at Gurnee Mills can help save natural resources and contribute to a reduced environmental impact by donating unwanted pieces of clothing from any brand while in the store. Customers will receive a voucher for 15% off their entire next purchase for each bag of donated clothing.  How cool is that?

To kick off the recycling program on opening day, customers who bring garments to be recycled before the store opens at noon will also have the chance to win H&M gift cards valued between $20 and $200 in addition to receiving the voucher.  

In celebration of opening day, H&M at Gurnee Mills will offer the first 100 shoppers in line an H&M t-shirt and Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $20 to $200, in addition to other opening offers and fun giveaways!
