Summer to Fall Essentials with Lilly Pulitzer

Can I get a whoot, whoot! for the almost weekend!  Who's excited? Anyone with big plans? 

I mentioned a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of the Lilly Pulitzer at Oakbrook Center.  If for one reason or another you haven't had a chance to visit a store do so soon.  It's such a happy place, if you ask me.  The colors, decor and looks are so vibrant and make me feel as though I'm on a constant vacation.  

While visiting the store, I picked up this look and have been holding on to it waiting patiently for the weather here in Chicago to cool down and feel more like Fall.  While so many of Lilly's looks are perfect resort wear, I was so thrilled to see they have extended the brand to represent great Fall styles as well.  I could not pass up this great, lightweight sweater and quilted vest I know I'll be able to wear for the next several weeks/months. They make for the perfect cool weather companions, no?  

I also want to take a moment to call out my new personalized, monogramed necklace.  We have been talking a lot here on the blog about prepping for the holiday's right?  The older I get, the more I realize earlier prep makes it much easier on myself later.  Any who! Also, the older I get the more I fall in love with gifts that are meaningful and personal.  I am a huge fan of Swell Caroline and their work - including their extensive line of monogram jewelry.  Whether you have a close friend or loved one - a family member who recently joined a sorority - etc., these make for such great gifts for the upcoming holidays.  I LOVE this unique bar necklace and have seriously been wearing it every day!
