You cannot go wrong with this sherpa vest.  I guarantee it.  

I came across it recently on a quick trip to Anthropologie.  I actually went in to search for some casual looks for my trip to the lake with Shawn this past weekend when I eyed it from across the room (you know, like destiny, of course) and almost immediately dropped everything in my hand to run over and try it on.  As I approached it, I initially wanted to talk myself out of even picking it up as I assumed it was going to be well out of my price range - even more so since I only came for a sweater.  I was so pleasantly surpassed by its craftsmanship, high quality material and the price!  

Now, before I make purchases like these I make one special call to my beautiful friend Daniela to ensure I have appropriately rationalized my purchase.  There is always one question we ask each other in situations like these: "Can you think of three ways you would style it without putting thought into it?" I could answer the question quickly and knew I would style it with: 

1).  A great dress and ankle booties (as seen online)

2).  With black leggings and over the knee boots

2).  With a great plaid top 

3).  With distressed denim (like this look above) 

I could go on ... 

For this past weekend, I dressed the look down slightly for a perfect Sunday afternoon with Shawn at a Pumpkin Patch in Lake Geneva.  Booties and this great hat were perfectly fitting for a day in the country.  I added this great Banana Republic lace top (you have to see the back online ~ it's stunning and perfect for the upcoming holidays) to add a feminine touch.
