Happy Monday, y'all!  As always, I hope you all had an awesome weekend!

For the last week or so, I've been discussing how the temperatures have been cooling slightly here in Chicago.  While the temperatures are not full on Fall, there are moments, especially in the evening, when the air is crisp enough for you to call it "cool."  To transition my favorite summer looks into Fall, I simply look to layer other classic in my closet such as scarves and jackets.  

If you follow the blog, you know I'm no stranger to mixing prints and patterns.  For this particular transitional look, I took some of my favorite summer staples, like my all time favorite J.Crew fluted skirt in hunter green, partnered with a patterned top from Target, and added a polka dot print scarf for cooler temperatures along with my favorite J.Crew denim jacket.  For those of you who are just getting comfortable mixing prints, I chose this particular scarf because of the blue and white color combination which picked up on the blue and white hues of the top.  I also choose to bring out the soft yellows in the top with one of my favorite yellow stripe J.Crew clutches.  For the shoes, I wanted to pull in the neutrals from the bag with matching tan ankle strap sandals.
