As many of you know, Shawn and I recently traveled to Tucson for a week of much needed R&R with close friends. Between relaxing poolside, and sipping yummy cocktails, we took a quick trip horseback riding with a local ranch owner, Houston's Horseback Riding. Today, I am taking a break from styling tips and fashion to share a little piece of our adventure with you all!

Horseback riding was a first for me, but I could not imagine a more beautiful place to experience this adventure.  The landscape was just gorgeous; a complete change from the hustle of the big city.  And although I have been to Arizona number of times, it felt like a wonderful first.  Houston's Horseback Riding is a family owned and operated and we were treated as such - family.  Our guides were incredibly personable, genuine and knowledgable and I would highly recommend them if you're in the Tucson area.  And, can I just say I loved that my horses name was Johnny Cash? Loved him! He loves the camera as much as me - a total blogger he was :)

On a side note, the cactus in the second to the last photo was struck directly by lightening explaining it's mangled being.  Crazy, huh?  Am I the only one totally amused with these types of things?
