Is anyone else completely losing concentration throughout the day daydreaming about spring and 70 degree temperatures? I can't seem to get through the morning without totally breaking from whatever I'm doing with the goal of logging online to shop for bathing suits and packing a bag to Mexico. The weather has officially dropped below zero for the third consecutive day here in Chicago and I'm just not sure how much more I can take without vitamin D :) Thankfully, Shawn and I should be putting the final touches on our spring break plans in the next few weeks which will hopefully hold me over for the next two months or so. Fingers crossed.

Speaking of spring, if you followed the blog last week, then you know one of my goals post new year is to reinvent looks from what already exists in my closet in an effort to save money for all of the amazing spring items I am lusting after. One of my favorite mixed print combinations is the stripe and polka dot combo. Although the look is mostly color neutral with black and white, I love how playful and fun it is. If you're new to mixing prints, this combo and color scheme is a great place to start! Not to mention, bold prints - specifically stripes - are a huge trend coming this spring. Get out some of your favorite pieces and start playing around at home today! I guarantee you'll find your comfort zone much quicker than you think! :)
