Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope you're all having a great start to the week! Has the weather been just absolutely amazing for every else? Here in Chicago, I have been so incredibly pleased with the warm temperature - and when I say warm, I mean like upper 70's! I'll take this for the remainder of the year, please. :)
One of the questions I get a lot of here at A Lily Love Affair is how to incorporate your personal style choices at the office while still looking professional. I'm here to tell you, it can be done - and with class!
We recently discussed five tips for styling leather at the office, but today I wanted to focus on incorporating great, sometimes even bright, colors into your office style. As many of you know, I am a huge fan of color pieces and I do believe you can successfully pull off these look in the boardroom. To do so, here are a few tips:
1). Start with the skirt. I think a great foundation for any classy, stylish look at the office starts with a great pencil or midi skirt. In may cases I have found it difficult to style pencil skirts because I have a smaller waist, but a big butt (anyone else feel me?). However, I recently purchased this great skirt from J.Crew and now a firm. repeat purchaser! The skirt is so well crafted and fits like a glove. They have so many great colors to chose from and how amazing is the zipper detail!
3). Grab a killer shoe. I love, love, love when the shoe is the focal point of a look. There are a number of times my dress or skirt and top are a bit more neutral at the office, but my shoes end up telling the style story are really make the look POP. I am IN. LOVE, with the shoe collection from Zvelle. Not only are their color choices AMAZING, but they are also so classy and chic. I really appreciate the more kitten heel in this look for the office. I am often moving from meeting to meeting throughout the day and these are so comfortable, y'all.
3). Accessorize. I think one of the best ways to add color to your wardrobe, if you're not yet comfortable, is to add pops with your accessories. Whether it's a great statement coat or a fabulous bag, or even just a more bold lip color, accessories are a great way to get your feet wet!

Great tips! I am with you on the skirts. I only have a few stores where I can wear the skirt off the rack without needing altering. Some skirts the waist is sooooo big! You look great as usual.
