Celebrating Chicago Food + Wine Festival with Zappos

This past weekend Shawn and I had the pleasure of attending the Chicago Food + Wine Festival with Zappos - and had an absolute blast!

Despite the off-and-on rain all afternoon, thousands of Chicagoan's flocked to the Lincoln Park area to celebrate some the nations top chefs, artisans and restaurants from Chicago and around the country.  Festival goers were treated to chef demonstrations, feasts, book signings, tasting and a little shopping experience thanks to the Zappos unWINEd activation.

Between sipping wines and munching on small bites, wine-goers could relax and unWINEd by shopping specially curated pieces from brands like Calvin Klein, Rebecca Minkoff and Free People while also enjoying the make-your-own sangria bar and wine cork station.

While shopping, I picked up this fabulous fringe bag (similar Sam Edelman fringe bag) and Ray-Ban Clubmasker sunnies (featured in the first photo!)  Side note, this fringe bag has a built in phone charger - perfect for a girl like me who's phone is ALWAYS dying.  Great, right? I couldn't resist either!

For my outfit to the festival, I really wanted a look that was comfortable for the outdoor setting, but that was chic enough for what seemed like the final warm weekend of the Summer here in Chicago.  I purchased these great Calvin Klein sandals (c/o Zappos) and this AMAZING dress from Free People (c/o Zappos) - full post coming soon!, but the weather was so rainy, and the festival was so muddy, that I ended up changing into Hunter boots and a jean jacket as it was a bit more on the cooler side.
