The Juice Cleanse Worth Trying || #DrinkYourGreens

It's incredibly hard to believe the Summer is almost over. I've said this several times lately, but time is truly flying by, am I right? And I don't know about you, but I have spend the majority of the Summer indulging in all the great cuisines (and cocktails) the warm weather has to offer.

If I can be honest, I go back and forth pretty regularly with regards to eating clean and health, but it's almost always this time of year, as the seasons change, that I choose to clean up my act and get things in order in terms of healthy choices.

I've tried a number of different cleansing and juicing systems over the last few years, but I have recently become a big fan of Daily Greens organic juices and cookbook because of the authors story.

At the age of 33, founder, Shauna Martin, was diagnosed with breast cancer. With a young family to care for, Shauna struggled to recover from the trauma of multiple surgeries and the toxic effects of chemotherapy.

Nine years clear, Shauna attributes her complete recovery from breast cancer in part, to her current healthy lifestyle, which includes her regimen of drinking a green juice every day. Shauna decided that she wanted to share this life-enriching habit and spread the good word about drinking vegetables.

With the believe food has a powerful impact our health, each delicious juice is pressed with 6 pounds (9 servings) of raw, USDA Organic Certified and Non-GMO Project Verified produce and filled naturally with vital nutrients and vitamins.

This past week I completed the Daily Greens 4-Day Cleanse and noticed a different not only in my energy levels and overall body appearance (a lot less bloating than I normally see or feel), but also in my skins appearance. I typically fight small bumps of acne daily, but I noticed those signs had diminished as well.

Shawn is very good at eating healthy, and he loves salads, so we have also found many of the recipes in the Cleanse Cookbook (can also buy on Amazon on great sale!) to be very refreshing and delicious.  It also breaks down anything and everything you many want to know about this safe and gentle cleanse.  Additionally, it includes four Seasonal Cleanse Menus in collaboration with nutrition expert Lauren Minchen, MPH, RDN, CDN.

If you're in the Chicagoland area, join Shauna at the Lincoln Park Whole Foods August 3 and the Streeterville Whole Foods location between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m, to learn more about her story and journey!
