Happy Monday, y'all! Before we dig in to today's post, I want to apologize for the inconsistency in post's lately. Life has been a bit more crazy lately than ever before.  Between the office and personal commitments, time has gotten away from me.  Has anyone heard the saying 'You have as many hours in the day as Beyonce'? I have been reminding myself of that a lot lately and wondering where the hours seem to go?  

Any who!  On to the good stuff.  

This past weekend Shawn and I took a trip to NYC and it could not have been a better break for both of us.  It was just what the doctor ordered.  And, although we got off to a rough start by missing our flight and lost luggage (Shawn did not follow my directions in my last post - how to pack all the necessities in a carry-on), as soon as we arrived the stress of life lately just seemed to instantly melt away.  The weather was perfect and it was nice to put my phone away (for the most part) and just enjoy the time together.  

When shopping for the trip prior to leaving I ran across this incredible butterfly maxi shirt and ruffle sleeve top.  It stopped me dead in my tracks immediately.  I knew, although it was a bit more dressy than I would normally pack, it would be perfect for a dinner date night out on the town - and where better than New York, right?  I also love them both for upcoming holiday celebrations.  The ruffle top is less than $35 and will be fantastic for X-Mas (don't kill me for saying that!  And side note, those Halloween pop-up shops are already up in this area - insane!)
